Milestone specializes in traditional fine print processes including lithography, intaglio & relief. We also have a limited silk screen set up for simple screen printing.
Our studio provides a space in which artists can explore various print media, either singularly or in any combination of printmaking techniques available. The artist is guided and supported by the master printer within a collaborative work environment in which both parties work to translate concepts into print.
LITHOGRAPHY: Want to rock n' roll? Milestone's got you.
Our studio equipped with a Griffin hand cranked lithography press, printing capability for images up to 24 x 36”.
There are approximately 50 stones for use ranging in size from
8 x 10” up to full sheet, or 24 x 32”. A plate backer is available
for printing both ball-gained and lithographic photo plates.
INTAGLIO/RELIEF: Is copper or wood your jam? No problem.
There are 2 presses available in the shop: 1 custom built etching press that can print up to 24 x 40” and 1 large scale Takach
etching press with capability of printing images up to 38 x 80".
MATRIX PREPARATION: Need a plate made? We can do that.
Whether you need a silk screen shot, a photo litho plate made, a ball-grain plate prepped or an intaglio plate made from start to finish, Milestone has the equipment and know-how to get it done.
